AC Shadows Reveals Bizarre Attack on Titan Collaboration for Thanksgiving
In a unexpected crossover event that breaks traditional expectations, Ubisoft has announced an in-game collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.
Strange Adventure Disclosed
According to the formal release, "A strange confrontation draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original quest, where whispers of prohibited practices and fearsome transformations resonate through the shadows." The plot features a "unusually dressed woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with venturing into the Crystal Cave—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a clandestine group.
The adventure focuses on "strange trials and a monstrous foe" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Iconic Settings and Transformations
The trailer features the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This important location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer concludes with a dramatic moment showing a character, presumably the captive, changing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Rewards and Extra Features
Players who finish the mission will receive an special katana in addition to numerous artifacts concealed throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also contains in-store Attack on Titan item packs, including:
- Titan-based attire for Yasuke
- Mikasa costume for Naoe
- Exclusive arms
- Survey Corps mount
Latest Free Story Addition
This release also adds the game's latest no-cost story content, titled "A Puzzlement." This humorous adventure partners Naoe and Yasuke as they trade signature abilities: Naoe introduces a performative interpretation of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke acquires subduing stealth takedowns. Loyal to its name, "The Enigma" also contains a original environmental puzzle that may eventually shed light on some unanswered questions from the main storyline.

The series earlier included a 2020 cross-promotional story connecting Assassin's Creed: Valhalla with Makoto Yukimura's Vinland Saga. Furthermore, Valhalla subtly featured a quest that unmistakably echoed the famous series One-Punch Man.
