Football Analyst Sutton Battles Singer Olly Murs in Premier League Forecasts

Arsenal's ten-match victorious streak came to an end by Sunderland prior to the global hiatus, however can the Premier League leaders recover against local foes Tottenham this Sunday?

"{I feel like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham at the moment but Spurs manager Thomas Frank will have a plan for this game," stated football specialist Chris Sutton.

"The Spurs manager will try to nullify Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating best this season - but Mikel Arteta's team typically still manage to win."

Sutton is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League games this season, against artificial intelligence, fans and a range of guests.

In the twelfth round, he faces singer Olly Murs, who is a Manchester United fan.

The singer's latest album, the new release, is available on Friday.

Football and Family Experiences

Murs is a skilled soccer player as well as a accomplished singer and has been a featured player of multiple charity football games over time - but he is not planning a professional comeback as a footballer.

"{I actually played in a benefit match the other night for a friend of mine," he said. "My side was losing 3-1 when I was substituted in the 60th minute, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can read into that what you will!

"I continue to love football, but I injured my knee a few years ago and it still hasn't fully recovered. I hope I could play more but the uncertainty of the sport means it's too risky for me in my profession to do it seriously again.

"Plus I am forty-one now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am preparing for the moment that my daughter or son chooses to play instead."

The singer and his spouse Amelia Tank have two children, Madison and Albert, and he is ready to emulate his dad by becoming their manager.

"I won't force football on our children but I've already told my wife that if they happen to get the bug for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will probably be managing their Saturday football team," he added.

"I observed my relatives play a lot, and I really got into it, and I obviously was involved with a soccer team for a period too.

"My dad did it with us when I was a child, which is probably where I get it from. He managed our side for two or three years and had a wonderful time with it. That could be the future for me as well, and I am excited to it!"

Premier League Predictions

Saturday, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

The Blues may have to wait a bit longer for Cole Palmer's return from injury but their attack is already more potent with Joao Pedro and Liam Delap both returned to fitness.

In my opinion this game will be quite tight, however. Burnley are disciplined and their sole at Turf Moor defeats so far have been against the Reds and Arsenal.

It smells of a one-all draw to me, but I am actually going to choose Chelsea to win narrowly for what would be their third consecutive league win in a row.

The expert's prediction: 1-2

The singer's prediction: The Blues will be superior. 1-3

AI's outlook: 0-2

The Cherries have lost their previous couple matches - although both of them were on the road - but they got absolutely spanked by Villa last time out which surprised me.

On the other hand, the Hammers secured back-to-back victories before the hiatus and, although both of those games were at home, they do look strong again.

The Hammers' sole on the road win this campaign came at Forest in August, when their boss Nuno was previously Forest manager.

So, what on earth do I predict here - will it be West Ham continuing their run under their manager, or the home side bouncing back?

I am going to go with Bournemouth, because I believe what occurred against Villa was a blip.

The pundit's forecast: 2-0

Olly's outlook: Bournemouth are performing strongly but West Ham have improved under their boss. 2-2

The algorithm's prediction: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Bees were seen as one of the favourites for relegation before the season started, but they have impressed a few observers under Keith Andrews and are in good form with three in their last four games.

A family member advised me to get Brentford forward Igor Thiago in my fantasy soccer team a few weeks ago and, guess what, I ignored the advice.

Thiago will probably find the net again on Saturday but I am still not going to select him or support Brentford at Brighton's ground.

They have not had much fortune on the road this term, and Brighton are always decent at home. The visitors will try to hit them on the break but I think Fabian Hurzeler's side carry much more of a threat.

The analyst's prediction: 2-1

The singer's prediction: It could be a match where you think there is going to be a many goals but it actually proves to be rather close. 1-1

The computer's outcome: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

This is a massive fixture for the Cottagers, who have lost five of their past six matches.

They have have lots of quality in their squad but it nonetheless seems like they could be dragged into a relegation fight.

As for Sunderland, well they are the unexpected success of the top flight season so far.

The away side's display in the 2-2 tie with Arsenal last time out was excellent. We've not seen any other team rough up the Gunners like that this term, and they were more than a match for them.

The sensible thing would be to support the Black Cats here, because they are obviously capable of disrupting the hosts up too and, the previous occasion they were in west London, they beat the Blues at the close of October.

But I am not going to choose that. Instead, I truly need to continue going against Sunderland with my predictions. I am taking a lot of credit for their positive results because they clearly enjoy to defy my predictions.

Looking at the home side's at Craven Cottage record, the sole side they have been defeated by is the league leaders. Their manager's side will be extremely desperate for a positive result, so I am going to predict they will pick up three much-needed points.

Sutton's forecast: 1-0

Olly's choice: I'm aware Sunderland are performing strongly and additionally that the hosts are on a bad streak... but they have still been decent at home this season. 2-0

The algorithm's outlook: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

It is a hard fixture to call. The Reds have lost seven of their past 10 matches in all competitions, but might they be among the sides who profit from the {international break|
