Helicopter Spirals Wildly into Palm Groves at Well-Known California Shoreline
An aircraft soaring above a well-attended California coastline unexpectedly started spinning uncontrollably, finally losing altitude and plunging into a line of palm fronds as onlookers watched.
Footage uploaded on social media capture the chopper commencing to spiral over Huntington Beach then falling near the edge of the coast, where it ends up lodged between palm groves and a set of stairs adjacent to the shoreline route.
First Aid Update
Emergency responders reported five people were taken to hospital including two who were in the chopper and were “rescued from the debris” following the incident on Saturday.
Three people on the street were harmed. Information on their wounds were not yet released.
The reason for the accident was still under investigation.
