Trump's Family Member Receives Professional Guidance from Golf Legend Woods Ahead of Professional Golf First Appearance
The rising star boasts impressive online audience
Kai Trump can count on multiple prominent supporters when she starts her first LPGA appearance on Thursday.
The 18-year-old athlete, who is the granddaughter of a former US president, was granted a special exemption to participate at Florida's Annika event in Florida.
The former president, someone who loves golf, owns multiple courses worldwide and regularly plays against Kai.
"He's pretty good. I shouldn't elaborate but we play some close matches," she revealed.
The golfer shared that Trump, unable to come, advised her: "Simply don't get nervous."
"My grandpa basically told me to go out there and have fun," she explained.
"From my perspective, he's just an ordinary family member. He won't be there this weekend. He's busy with presidential duties, so he's somewhat preoccupied."
As an amateur, Kai has competed in a mere three competitions in 2024 and maintains ranking 461 in the American Junior Golf Association listings.
However she can receive tips from Tiger Woods, romantically involved with Kai's mother.
"He is the top athlete in the world," Kai expressed.
"Furthermore, he's a more impressive person. He advised me to compete, enjoy myself, following whatever happens."
Kai will face some of the biggest names in women's golf at the competition, such as world number two the champion, British Charley Hull, Lexi Thompson and 2023 champion champion Vu.
The LPGA stated that Kai's presence brings golf to new audiences, specifically with the next generation.
Kai boasts a massive following and just introduced an exclusive apparel and wellness company.
Her first tee time at 5:30 PM GMT.
